This workshop is an excellent opportunity for students who have some computer science or programming knowledge and want to take their skills to the next level. C++ is widely used in the industry for various applications, including game development, system programming, and artificial intelligence, and this workshop will teach you how to master them. Imagine developing your own games, creating cutting-edge AI systems, or building high-performance applications, all with the power of C++.

You’ll dive into advanced concepts such as object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms, as well as learn how to use C++’s Standard Template Library (STL) for common data structures and algorithms. You’ll also learn best practices for coding, debugging, and performance optimization. Throughout the workshop, you’ll work on hands-on projects and exercises that will challenge you to apply the concepts learned and create your own programs.

  • Student writes code while teacher explains instructions on the back
  • Student works on her coding project, the screen shows a piece of code written in c++
  • Instructor shows code snipet on the big screen

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a solid understanding of the C++ programming language, and the ability to design and implement complex programs using advanced programming concepts and techniques. This workshop is an excellent starting point for students interested in pursuing a career in software development, game development, or other fields that use C++. It’s an ideal workshop for students who want to learn C++ and build a solid foundation in programming to be able to move to more advanced topics in computer science and unleash the full power of C++.

Students will learn:

  • To understand the fundamental concepts of computer science and programming.
  • To gain practical skills in the C++ programming language.
  • To gain confidence in experimenting with code and debugging.
  • The ability to work with others on coding projects and solve problems as a team.

Outcomes of the workshop:

  • Develop your own small programs and tools.
  • Learn commonly used software.
  • Discover the potential of the C++ language.
