DigiPen Europe-Bilbao was pleased to welcome many prospective students and family members to campus last weekend as part of our January 21 open house event. For those in attendance, it was an opportunity to explore the campus, meet with faculty and staff, and learn more about the programs offered at DigiPen Europe-Bilbao.

The core principle behind these open houses is to provide families, students, and anyone who is interested a clear idea of DigiPen’s degrees, prospective careers for DigiPen students, and our overall educational approach. Prospective students gain insight into what they can expect from us at the educational and institutional level.

The open house began with a comprehensive presentation from program directors for the BS in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation (RTIS) and BFA in Digital Art and Animation, who each took the stage to give an in-depth explanation of their respective degrees, including their unique structure and purpose. After the presentation, attendees were guided to the next stage of the event, tailored to their specific program interests. Prospective RTIS students participated in a workshop where they learned about the graphics behind AAA games, while prospective BFA students learned about character design techniques.

An extended Q&A session also allowed for attendees to have their questions and concerns addressed.

To conclude the open house, attendees were given a tour of our facilities, including computer labs, art studios, and the library. They also had a chance to meet and speak with staff and faculty.

Thank you to all of the prospective students and family members who took the time to visit and engage with us. We were thrilled with the positive feedback we received about the event and can’t wait to welcome visitors back to campus for the next open house.

In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about DigiPen Europe-Bilbao, we will be holding two online information sessions in March for our RTIS and BFA degree programs. The RTIS session will take place on Thursday, 23 March, and the BFA session will take place on Tuesday, 28 March. These sessions will provide an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the programs and ask questions to faculty members. We encourage anyone interested to mark your calendars and join us for these informative events.
