Film Festivals and Awards

Short films created by DigiPen students have won various animation awards and have been selected to appear at a range of film festivals around the world.

Arpeggio (2017)

Arpeggio presents the story of a father and son who once connected through a love of music. The film was created at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe-Bilbao with contributions by Redmond-based students and faculty.

In the post-apocalyptic world of EOS, humanity lives underground and can’t return to the surface. The film’s hero, however, isn’t prepared to give up on seeing the sun one last time.

EOS was created by Jon Vivanco.

An elderly woman remembers her bygone days serenading nightclub guests.

Toxicity Underwater (2017)

In the distant future, humanity is trapped beneath the sea in aquatic shelters. Dominique, a recluse who notices some suspicious dumping going on outside his underwater hideaway, decides to take action.

Toxicity Underwater was created by Jon Bazo.

An agent on a mission must make an urgent delivery in this short animation created at DigiPen's Bilbao campus.

A passionate inventor hopes to recapture the days of his youth in this bittersweet animation created at DigiPen's Bilbao campus.

At a futuristic medical facility, a young woman must make a difficult choice about her future.

REA was created at DigiPen's Bilbao campus by Adriana Urigüen, with music by Jorge Fernandez.

Level 1457 LAST (2013)

Set in a distant future where ice covers the earth's surface, Level 1457 LAST tells the story of a solitary maintenance worker tasked with fixing the power supply systems of the subterranean colony that he and the rest of humanity calls home.

Level 1457 LAST was created by Xabier Urrutia, with music by Jorge Fernandez and special thanks to Amagoia Aguirre, Meritxel Aznar, Gonzalo Cano, Eduardo Garcia, Josu Martin, Jonathan Arnaiz, Sendoa Bergasa, Xabier España, David Gau, Xabier Sevillano, and Jolen Urrutia.
