The Game Industry in Spain and Europe

Success in the game industry depends on innovation, creativity, and technical excellence, and the market for highly qualified production and development personnel is very competitive across Europe. At the same time, talent shortages have plagued European tech companies, with many unable to find qualified domestic employees; instead, they find themselves forced to pay the high relocation costs for hiring foreign workers from the U.S. and Asia.

There are over 25 game development studios in Spain alone, with hundreds more across Europe.

DigiPen Europe-Bilbao seeks to help cultivate a base of skilled engineers and artists to meet the demands of this growing digital interactive entertainment industry in Bilbao and abroad.
